Emerson Invests in the Future with Trellis

Data center infrastructure management (DCIM) has been a major strategic initiative for Emerson since the acquisition of Avocent. Emerson Network Power spent $1.2 billion to acquire the knowledge within Avocent and is now using that knowledge as a major part of its DCIM efforts. Steve Hassell, President of Avocent of Emerson Network Power, took other areas from across Emerson Network Power and combined them into a new, real-time platform called Trellis. Trellis is specifically designed to address the challenges in the DCIM space.

And that’s not all. We’re partnering within the IT industry as well as the facilities industry to create an ecosystem surrounding Trellis so that no matter what brand of equipment you use, you’ll be able to benefit from the Trellis platform. We are creating a bridge across all of our legacy brands to help ensure that all your infrastructure investments are secure.
